    Ed’s journey into medicine is marked by a remarkable pivot from a background in commerce and law to the intricate field of plastic and reconstructive surgery. Inspired by a lifelong exposure to microsurgery, he embarked on a path that would lead him to become a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2019. His areas of expertise include advanced skin cancer surgery, procedures of the face, head, and neck region, as well as intricate hand surgery.

    Embarking on a journey of professional development, Ed pursued fellowships interstate and abroad, including specialised training in head and neck surgery focusing on surgical resection and reconstruction of advanced skin cancers at Sydney’s Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. This was followed by a prestigious clinical microsurgical fellowship at the renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York, where he had the privilege of collaborating with world-leading experts in the field.

    Ed is not only a skilled practitioner but also a dedicated scholar and educator in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery and hand surgery. Actively engaged in research and education, he remains at the forefront of advancements in the discipline, ensuring that his patients benefit from the latest techniques and innovative practices.

    Outside of his professional endeavours, Ed finds fulfillment in family life, residing in Melbourne with his wife and two boys. His dedication to his patients is mirrored in his commitment to his loved ones, embodying the values of compassion, integrity, and excellence in all aspects of his life.
